To help every Muslim on earth memorize the Quran and retain it with the precision, compassion, and discipline the Book deserves.
Memorizing the Quran is a lifelong act of worship. Keeping what you’ve memorized is an even greater one. Traditional hifz relies almost entirely on human discipline — wake up early, repeat, revise, repeat again. That works for people with access to a qualified teacher, a supportive community, and uninterrupted hours. It does not work for the software engineer in Jakarta with three children, the convert in Manchester studying alone, or the 14-year-old in Fez juggling school and after-school halaqa.
HafizPrime was built to bridge that gap — not to replace the scholar, the teacher, or the tradition, but to give every memorizer a pocket-sized intelligent study partner.
How we work
We pair classical hifz methodology (muraja’a, tasmee’, mutashabihat discipline) with modern memory science (spaced repetition, retrieval practice, interleaving) and on-device AI (speech recognition, phonetic verification, adaptive coaching).
- Retention prediction. Every memorized verse gets its own forgetting curve. We schedule review at the exact point before you’d lose it.
- Recitation verification. Your voice is analyzed word by word — not just “pass/fail” on the whole line.
- AI Quran Coach. A Gemini-powered coach that adapts to your language, goals, and emotional state. It asks questions. It does not issue fatwas.
- Guardian Link. Teachers, parents, and students share progress transparently, with consent on every side.
Values
- Religious accuracy over marketing flair. Every Quranic citation is double-checked. Every tajweed rule is reviewed by our Scholar Panel. We will not ship content we cannot defend.
- Free, forever. The memorization engine does not sit behind a paywall. If we ever offer paid features, they will be genuinely optional.
- Privacy over personalization. Your recitation audio is analyzed on-device when possible, never used to train models, and deleted after 30 days.
- Humility. HafizPrime assists. It does not replace a real teacher, a real mosque, or the quiet time you spend alone with the mushaf.

The story so far
- 2024 — First internal build of the retention engine.
- 2025 — Closed alpha with friends, family, and a small group of teachers who agreed to test rough edges.
- 2026 — Public launch on iOS and Android.
