TL;DR: Daily streaks track consecutive days of memorization or revision practice. Not gamification — accountability. A visible record that you showed up, even on the hard days.
How streaks work
- A day counts when you complete at least one memorization or revision session (minimum 5 minutes of verified practice).
- The streak counter shows on your home screen: “Day 47” or “Day 183.”
- Freeze days: You get 2 freeze days per month (auto-applied when you miss). These prevent a single bad day from resetting months of work.
- Streak milestones: 7, 30, 100, 365 days trigger subtle celebrations (no confetti — a quiet acknowledgment).
Why we built streaks carefully
Streaks can be spiritually harmful if they become the goal instead of the Quran itself. We designed ours to be quiet: no public leaderboard of streaks, no pressure notification (“Don’t break your streak!”), no penalty beyond the counter resetting. If you miss a day, the app says nothing — it just shows the new count. The goal is consistency, not anxiety.
Freeze days
Life happens — illness, travel, menstruation, emergencies. Two automatic freeze days per month prevent these from erasing genuine months-long commitment. You don’t have to activate them; they deploy automatically on any missed day.
In the app
