Quick answer: Only the questions you send it and your app’s basic context (what surah you’re memorizing, what language you use). Your recitation audio, reflections, and progress history are never shared with the AI Coach unless you explicitly paste them in.
What the AI Coach sees
- The question you type or speak.
- Which surah/ayah you’re currently on (to give relevant context).
- Your language preference (to respond in the right language).
What it doesn’t see
- Your recitation audio.
- Your reflection notes.
- Your retention scores.
- Conversations with teachers or linked family members.
- Your account email or identity.
Provider and retention
The AI Coach uses a model from a trusted provider (currently Anthropic’s Claude). Your questions are sent in real-time for processing. Neither HafizPrime nor the provider stores your conversations for training. Messages are retained for 30 days only for safety and abuse-prevention purposes, after which they are deleted.
Offline option
Enable Settings → AI → Offline mode to use a smaller on-device model. Less capable, but 100% local — no data ever leaves your phone.
What the Coach will not do
- Issue religious rulings (fatwa). It will defer to qualified scholars.
- Generate new Quranic interpretations beyond what classical tafsir contains.
- Make personal-life decisions for you.
