Quick answer: Settings → Memorization → Reset progress. You can wipe everything, or just specific surahs. This is irreversible — export your data first if you may regret it.
When to reset
- You restarted hifz after a long break and want a clean slate.
- You marked surahs as memorized that you no longer retain.
- You’re handing your device to a child who will start their own journey.
Partial reset (recommended)
- Open the surah you want to reset.
- Tap the surah menu (three dots) → Reset progress for this surah.
- Confirm. The surah returns to “not memorized” state; revision schedule updates.
Full reset
- Settings → Memorization → Reset all progress.
- Tap Export first if you want a backup (recommended).
- Confirm with your password.
- All progress, retention scores, and revision history are wiped.
What doesn’t reset
Your account, settings, linked teachers, and downloaded audio remain. Only your memorization and revision data are cleared.
